Update

Due to my health issues I’ve had to put school and work on hold like I’ve mentioned in a few of my old blog posts. My social life has taken a tumble because, I don’t go out much. I USED to have so many “friends” back when I was in school but, now I only have 3. It’s sad to see all my old “friends” having fun without me or seeing people my age doing all these cool things that I can’t do. To be honest I feel a little depressed. I have been slacking on my blog posts, baking, my appearance, my workouts, and just about everything else due this sadness that I feel. I’ve been trying to shake off this feeling for a few days but, it’s hard you know? Starting the month of July I hope to have a more positive outlook on things. I know my health issues are a slow work in progress so, I know in due time everything will fall into place.  I came across these flowers the other day and they made my day seem a little less cloudy

I have been thinking about starting a YouTube channel that way I can connect on a more personal level with you guys. But, I’m not sure. Let me know what you guys think. Until the next blog post xoxo-Patricia

Spring favorites

The temperature has been in the high 80s/90s so, here are my current favorites.

Hair accessories I like wearing hats, and recently I found this one at target for $3.00!

Crop tops The top in the first picture is from Pacsun, and the other two are from H&M.

Scent favorites The body wash and lotion are both from Bath and Body Works.

Nail polish Lately I’ve been into Uh, As If! by Wet n Wild

Footwear

Other

Dry shampoo

Hand lotion This lotion has helped out a lot  with my dry hands

.

Eucalyptus oil

I dilute half of the bottle with olive oil then, I rub about 1-2 tablespoons on my lower back and stomach. This has been helping me with ibs digestion problems.

Spring and health

With spring quickly approaching I can’t help not look forward to a few things like, not being able to bake as much, sun rash, allergies, and shaving my legs lol. It’s been quite hot here in CA but, I can’t exactly rearrange my entire closet to spring clothes just yet because, the weather constantly changes. It can be hot one day and the next it could rain.

Due to the season changing my allergies have been at an all time high. Like, do you guys remember being in a quite class in school and one kid would sometimes sniffle throughout the entire class….well that is currently me almost all day lol. In addition to my allergies my ibs has flared up a bit so, my mom bought me flowers to cheer me up (:

She also made me caldo de pollo (chicken soup)

I do plan on posting more baking posts as soon as I feel better. The next few days my posts will consist of things non related to baking. Hopefully you guys don’t mind. Good night everyone ^.^

Public speaking

I am absolutely horrified by just the thought of having to talk in front of large groups! I get the worst anxiety, which triggers my IBS at times. I go to confirmation class once a week and my teacher likes our class to be interactive. I don’t mind answering questions when I’m in my seat but, oh my lanta when I have to stand up and talk/read na uh honey; I can’t deal. I’m still learning how to get over my public speaking phobia by using different techniques but, as of now I rate myself from 1 being the worst speaker to a 10 being the best a solid 4. Hopefully I can go from thinking hell no when I get called on to heaven yea in a few months.

At least these pretty flowers made my day a bit better. Goodnight everyone.

Tmi but keeping it real

My digestive system is not the best, and to be honest I find it hard to drink 8cups of water a day. I’ve noticed that drinking two cups of water when I first wake up, adding hydrated chia seeds to my smoothies, and exercising 5 times a week has helped with my problem.

Below is my favorite smoothie recipe. I use my 6 cup capacity Oster blender.
I drink 2 cups a day. Ps this smoothie tastes sweet!

Yields 6 cups.
Ingredients
5 cups of water
1 3/4 cups of frozen blueberries
3/4 cup of frozen mango
1 Fuji Apple
10 dried prunes
15-20 spinach leaves
1-2 tablespoons of sugar to taste depending on fruits sweetness

After blending serve into a cup and add in as much hydrated chia seeds that you want. I usually will add 5 tablespoons.

Personal

I’m so grateful to have my cousin Emely in my life. Like I mentioned in my first blog post I have a few health issues; anxiety, IBS, and kidney stones which can cause me a light depression when I flare up. Luckily Emely brings the sunshine to my storm when I feel down. Her kind words uplift my mood and she helps me see things in a more positive light. She has never made me feel like I’m worthless, weird, or like a “loser” because of my health issues; on the contrary she makes me feel like I’m a normal girl when we hang out or talk. I’m so glad that as we’re getting older we have become a lot closer. Thank you for staying by my side through rain or shine I love you cousin.
